Australian sapphires have a unique appearance and range in colour from blue and green to yellow. Commonly exhibiting colour banding, they are a darker blue than their Ceylonese or Burmese counterparts, with the most valuable being the parti-sapphire. The parti-sapphire as the name suggests, is a rare combination of green, blue and yellow. It is a common and acceptable practice to heat treat Australian sapphires to lighten and improve their colour and make them more transparent.

Condition: Excellent condition. The sapphire is well proportioned, of dark, even colour with no colour banding visible. The sapphire measures 10.94 x 8.73 x 4.38mm. The diamonds are white and bright, with colour estimated at G/H and clarity VS/SI.
