An Antique Gold Belt Ring hallmarked for London 1912. This beautiful antique ring, is of substantial weight and finely executed detail. The band is deeply carved with a foliate pattern, the workmanship remaining remarkably crisp for its age. The buckle and keeper sit proud of the band.

'The belt motif was widely used in Victorian jewellery, symbolising loyalty, protection and the bonds of affection. Often exchanged as sentimental gifts, belt rings and bangles conveyed the idea of being securely “held” to a loved one, making the design a discreet but meaningful emblem of commitment.'
