Tanzanite & Diamond Trilogy Ring

Modern Tanzanite & Diamond Trilogy Ring. A very pretty rose gold ring set three across with oval tanzanites in a halo surround of round brilliant cut diamonds. 

Tanzanite is the violet blue variety of the mineral zoisite, and was first discovered in the 1960’s near Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. Found nowhere else in the world, Tiffany & Co sought to capitalise on the rarity of the stone and renamed the gem Tanzanite as it was felt ‘Blue Zoisite’ would not attract customers. Tiffany's original campaign advertised that tanzanite could now be found in two places: "In Tanzania and at Tiffany's".

3 =  2.98 carats total estimated weight. Bright, medium violet blue, eye clean.

Diamonds:

48 = 0.48 carat. Colour H/I, Clarity SI.
