SEDGWICKS Antique & Estate Jewellery was established in 2020 by jewellery specialist Patricia Sedgwick, drawing upon more than 35 years of experience in the international jewellery and fine art auction industry.

Based in Brisbane, Queensland, SEDGWICKS specialises in carefully selected antique, vintage and estate jewellery, with a focus on quality, authenticity and condition.

Each piece is professionally assessed and thoughtfully presented for collectors and jewellery lovers who appreciate craftsmanship, history and distinctive design.

We are in the Queen Street Mall, close to Queens Plaza and just above Louis Vuitton, within the historic 1920s National Australia Bank building.

Appointments may be arranged to view jewellery, sell jewellery, or obtain a professional valuation.
No. SEDGWICKS operates by appointment from a private office rather than a retail shop.
The closest car park is Queens Plaza Car Park, which is entered off Edward Street. A quick lift ride into the Plaza and you not even 5 mins walk to our building.

TIP: If you book online the day before you can get a nice discount!

King George Car Park, with the entrance off Adelaide Street it is still a short walk but sadly no discounts! Just cut through the Brisbane Arcade to Queen Street and you will be with us in 5 mins.
TRAINS - The closest train station is Central Station, which is approximately a five-minute walk from our office.

BUSES - Queen Street Mall is serviced by the Queen Street Bus Station, a short walk from our office.

SEDGWICKS takes great care in accurately identifying and cataloguing every item we sell. Many pieces are also independently valued by valuers from the National Council of Jewellery Valuers (NCJV).

Clients can purchase with confidence knowing that each item has been carefully examined and professionally described.

In the unlikely event that an item is materially not as described, please contact us promptly so the matter can be reviewed.

As the jewellery we offer is antique, vintage or estate, pieces may show minor signs of wear consistent with age and previous use. Where relevant, such characteristics are noted in the condition report, and we are always pleased to provide additional images or information prior to purchase.

If a return is agreed, the item must be:
  • returned within 7 days of purchase
  • in the same condition as when sold
We do not offer returns for change of mind. Our policies operate in accordance with Australian Consumer Law (ACCC).
All items are sent via Australia Post’s Express Post. This service provides tracking and expedited delivery.
Good news! Shipping within Australia is complimentary on all items over $100.

Yes you can. While shipping is complimentary, clients may choose to add insurance through Australia Post. This can be arranged at your request and will be charged at cost.

Please contact us if you would like insurance added to your shipment.
While postage is complimentary you may wish to insure your items, and this is at your expense. To arrange simply contact us for a quote.
Yes you may. All items may be viewed by appointment at our Brisbane CBD office.
We understand that some clients prefer to view jewellery in person before purchasing and are happy to accommodate private viewings whenever possible.

Yes we do. Patricia Sedgwick is a Registered Valuer with the National Council of Jewellery Valuers (NCJV), a qualified gemmologist, diamond grader, and licensed second-hand dealer.

Drawing upon more than 35 years of professional experience, SEDGWICKS provides expert and confidential valuations including:
  • Market / Second-Hand Valuations
  • Probate and Deceased Estate Valuations
  • Divorce and Property Settlement Valuations
Please bring:
  • the items you wish to have valued
  • any previous valuations or purchase receipts
  • gemstone certificates (such as GIA or AGS)
  • original boxes, packaging or warranties for branded items
  • any provenance documentation, such as letters or historical records

Selling jewellery through SEDGWICKS is very straightforward process.
  1. Simply contact us by phone or email and provide photographs of the item and any relevant paperwork where possible.
  2. We advise whether the item something we are currently looking to purchase.
  3. We make an appointment to view the items in our Brisbane CBD office.
  4. Once the item has been inspected, we may offer to purchase the item. There is some paperwork to complete for compliance with our Second-Hand Dealers Licence and payment is by DD.
