For the love of unique jewellery
After more than thirty successful years in the Fine Arts Auction Industry, it feels good to have a change!In what now feels like my former life, I headed jewellery departments for international auction houses Sotheby’s and Bonhams, and Australian firms Leonard Joel and Mossgreen.
As a jewellery specialist & auctioneer, my role was to appraise, catalogue and present jewellery & watches for auction.
I dealt with jewellery of all descriptions: antique, modern and everything in between. Truly the good, the bad and the ugly. In each case I assessed quality, authenticity, condition & provenance. Diamonds and gemstones were identified, weighed, graded and valued. I loved it.
At SEDGWICKS we buy & sell antique & estate jewellery, and we apply the same criteria to our stock as I did to accepting jewels for auction.
Proud of the stock we offer and as a jewellery collector myself, I am conscious to only list items in which I have full confidence.
