Antique Victorian Cameo Signet Ring

Antique Victorian Cameo Signet Ring, the oval helmet shell cameo depicting the profile of bearded Gentleman.

Metal: 9ct yellow gold.

Weight: 3 grams.

Ring size: G.

Condition: Overall condition good. There is some wear to the cameo, the carving is no longer perfectly crisp, and there are some small deficiencies to the bezel surrounding the cameo. Shank shows little sign of wear. Closed back setting.

Provenance: Purchased recently as part of a very interesting Estate. The owners were English and many of the pieces had come through the family over many years, with some of the items being Georgian.  It is possible that this is a portrait cameo and is a memento of a departed loved one.
