Vintage Emerald & Diamond Dress Ring

Pretty Vintage Emerald & Diamond Dress Ring. The central oval Gilson emerald channel set either side with a round brilliant cut diamond of estimated weight 0.08 carat. 18ct yellow gold. Ring size Q. Weight 2.6 grams. Stamped 18ct.Gilson emeralds have been produced since 1964. They are a lab-created gemstone. Whilst they have the same chemical, optical and physical characteristics as stones dug from the ground, they are made by man not nature. They are a stable stone, in a lovely bright green colour, and generally free from obvious inclusions. Gilson emeralds are an alternative to the natural gem, and predictably cost much less than their natural equivalent.

Condition: All stones original and secure in their mounts. Diamond of estimated colour H and clarity VS/SI. Minor scuff marks associated with wear and commensurate with age.
