Mid-Century Modern Citrine Pendant, 1960’s. The oval facetted citrine of estimated weight 45.47 carats, set in a handmade mount. 9ct yellow gold. Weight 15.55 grams. Length 3cm. Width 2.2cm. Depth 1.6cm.

Considered a semi-precious gemstone, citrine is a variety of transparent quartz and ranges in colour from pale to golden yellow, honey or almost brown. The name citrine comes from the French word citron, meaning lemon.

Condition: Excellent condition. The well cut stone has no chips or abrasions and set in a beautifully made mount.
