South Sea Baroque Pearl Drop Earrings, designed for movement the 11mm baroque pearls of fine lustre, have articulated hook surmounts.

The term baroque refers to the shape of the pearl. Originating from the Portuguese word 'barocco', meaning imperfect, baroque is used to describe irregular, asymmetrical shaped pearls, rather than the more common spherical shaped pearls.

Condition: The flower-heads in excellent antique condition, with new hooks. Each of the red paste stone has a small chip to the surface. Not surprising given that they are made of glass and the earrings are over 100 years old!
